Manik Prabhu School for the Blind
In furtherance of its objective of working for the poor and the disadvantaged, Shri Manik Prabhu Shikshan Samiti started Shri Manik Prabhu School for the Blind in the year 1999. This is a residential school with full-time teachers who are trained in Braille. Within a very short span of time this school gained the support and confidence of the general public of Bidar district. Presently 79 blind children are pursuing their studies in this school. A team of competent teachers and other support staff has been appointed to ensure all-round educational development of the students. The Government of Karnataka recently honored Shri Manik Prabhu Shikshan Samiti with a STATE AWARD for its outstanding services in the field of education and rehabilitation of the lesser privileged children.
